Sustainability in Practice Certified Wine (SIP Certified)
The Rosé of Pinot Noir is made with grapes sourced from the Burning Creek Ranch vineyard. Winemaker Bruce McGuire is able to balance color, structure and flavor by blending multiple Pinot Noir clones grown across diverse soils. Fortunately, Burning Creek Ranch sits on top of a wonderful mixture of gravel and river deposited soil. The different soil types help produce both lighter and darker expressions of the same grape, making it an ideal source of Pinot Noir.
Winemaker Comments: The composition of this year's Rosé of Pinot Noir is: 40% clone 23, 32% clone 2A and 28% Pommard clone. The fruit is de-stemmed and cold-soaked on the skins resulting in vivid color and succulent fruit, reminiscent of ripe Bing cherries.
Tasting Notes: The Rosé of Pinot Noir shimmers blush. Aromas of bright strawberry and orange zest jump out of the glass. Crisp across the tongue - pomegranate, Meyer lemon and watermelon shine on the palate. Fermented 100% in stainless steel, clean and fruit-driven, this wine is perfect for a warm day. Drink with ceviche, shellfish, and green salads.
