The sunny climates of the Mediterranean have long celebrated the dry Provencal styles of this wine. This is an exquisite go to wine for afternoon meals and is a nice pairing with an antipasto plate of cheese, olives, cured meats, and bread.
Bruce McGuire, winemaker since 1981, is one of the pioneers in the development of Pinot Noir and Syrah in Santa Barbara County. Under his guidance, Santa Barbara Winery enforces impeccable farming practices to produce a wide variety of handcrafted wines.
Winemaker's comments: This Rose is a multi-clone blend from our neighbors, Burning Creek Ranch. Comprised of 42% O2A, 35% 828, 14% 267 and 9% 23. The grapes are de-stemmed and cold soaked overnight for flavor and color from the skins. Cool fermentation retains the fragrant aromas of cherries and blood oranges.
